What began as a backyard hobby with a charcoal grill and a Kettle Pizza Oven kit has fired up into something far bigger—and far tastier.
Al’s Woodfired is the passion project of Alan Espinoza, known simply as Al to friends and family. Fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a love for great food, Al upgraded from his humble beginnings to the powerhouse Ooni Karu 16 wood-fired oven.
But that was just the beginning. Today, Al’s Woodfired is a 20-foot, full-service mobile pizza kitchen serving up artisan-style pizzas that are perfect for sharing—or keeping all to yourself (we don’t judge). Al has since upgraded again, now using a professional-grade Forno Bravo oven, capable of cooking multiple pizzas at once with consistent, woodfired perfection.
Every pizza is handcrafted and cooked in a blazing hot oven that hits up to 1000°F, creating a crispy, charred crust and perfectly balanced flavor in just minutes.
Al brings a unique mix of engineering precision and spontaneous creativity to every pizza he makes.
The dough process is exact—measured, calculated, just like an engineer would want it. But once that dough hits the oven deck, it’s all about fast moves, bold flavor, and a bit of fiery fun.
